Bare aluminum alloy conductor Darien CABO DE ALUMÍNIO NU CAL (AAAC) overhead bare conductor are normally used in overhead power transmission lines.
Bare aluminum alloy conductor Darien CABO DE ALUMÍNIO NU CAL (AAAC) overhead bare conductor is a concentrically stranded conductor composed of one or more layers (crowns) of 6201-T81 aluminum alloy wires.
It was developed to fill the need for an economical conductor for aerial application, where greater mechanical strength is required than that obtained with CA aluminum conductor and greater corrosion resistance than aluminum cable with CAA steel core.
6201-T81 alloy conductors are harder, therefore, have greater abrasion resistance than 1350-H19 aluminum conductors.
However, the same precautions taken when handling AC and AC conductors must be observed when handling CAL conductors.
The stringing combinations of CAL cables are similar to those of AC cables.
